The El Reno Chamber is a non-profit, apolitical organization whose members share a common goal: to advance the commercial, industrial, civic, trade and general interests of El Reno and to foster the spirit of free enterprise.

Chamber members are provided a wealth of data through the Chamber web site, weekly e-mail updates, bi-monthly newsletters, and educational opportunities.

The Chamber supports our members and promotes 'Networking' for business people from all occupations.  A number of networking opportunities are offered to members, including Chamber Legislative Breakfasts, Chamber Luncheons, and Leadership El Reno just to name a few. Our members range from sole proprietor businesses to companies with numerous employees. The Chamber of Commerce is the voice of El Reno business. A certificate of membership is thought of as a 'Seal of Approval' in the business community.

Our volunteer board members oversee the activities of the Chamber and its committees to ensure the annual plan of work is executed.

The Chamber is working hard to help your company and our community succeed.

A membership in the Chamber shows your support for El Reno.  Further, a new national study reveals that membership in a local chamber of commerce can significantly boost a business's image among consumers, as well as among other businesses. In a scientific survey of 2,000 adults, The Schapiro Group found positive perceptions of chamber members in a number of areas, including overall favor-ability, consumer awareness and reputation and likelihood of future patronage.

Below are a few highlights of their findings.

  • Most consumers (59%) think that being active in the local chamber of commerce is an effective business strategy overall. It is 29% more effective, however, for communicating to consumers that a company uses good business practices and 26% more effective for communicating that a business is reputable.
  • If a company shows that it is highly involved in its local chamber (e.g., sits on the chamber board), consumers are 12% more likely to think that its products stack up better against its competition.
  • When a consumer thinks that a company’s products stack up better against the competition because the company is highly involved in its local chamber of commerce, it is because he or she infers that the company is trustworthy, involved in the community, and is an industry leader.
  • When consumers know that a restaurant franchise is a member of the chamber of commerce, they are 40% more likely to eat at the franchise in the next few months.
  • When consumers know that an insurance company is a member of the chamber of commerce, they are 43% more likely to consider buying insurance from it.
  • When consumers know that a small business is a member of the chamber of commerce, they are 44% more likely to think favorably of it and 63% more likely to purchase goods or services from the company in the future.
